A busy start to 2015, we’ve been working hard to progress the move of our Hull timber treatment plant, following Siemens and ABP investing in the Alexandra Dock with regard to the development of wind turbine manufacturing.
The move is a very positive one for WJ, just a mile or so down the road to brand new premises and still firmly located on the dockside, close to the source of timber for many of our treatment customers in Hull. The new centre is purpose-built and boasts a larger undercover area that will enhance our timber treatment facility.
It takes extremely careful planning and much thought to move our timber treatment tanks and that is currently underway, one by one. The large and heavy tanks each have to be drained, disconnected, physically moved and reconnected.
Ensuring that there is no disruption to our service whilst the changes take place, we hope to have completed the move very soon and the timber treatment team are looking forward to developing the business from an efficiently constructed and very new facility.
