How we’re turning our offcuts into kindling this winter

We’re turning our leftover wood from Scandinavia, the Baltics, Scotland and Ireland into fuel that will keep the people of Hull’s homes warm and cosy over winter.

As the colder nights draw in, we’ve invested in a machine that chops up the offcuts from our production processes to make kindling and save on waste. Once that’s done, it’s put straight into easy-to-grab nets that can be picked up from our head office in Rix Road, Stoneferry, East Hull, priced at £2.20 for one 3.5kg net or £10 for five nets.

The kindling can also be found at local outlets such as farm shops and garden centres.

Using kindling to heat the home is a low-cost alternative to central heating that can save the average household a significant amount of money on energy bills, and its usage has risen dramatically over the last couple of years.

Our Managing Director Mark Eggleston said of the innovation: “Wood burning stoves are becoming increasingly popular and real fires are also making a return to our homes, so we’re delighted to be able offer this product to our customers just as winter arrives.”

Drop-in at our head of office between 8am-5pm and pick yourself up some fuel for the festive period.

Free delivery is available to our customers. Give us a call on 01482 338 950 for more details.
