Specialists in the provision of timber treatment services from sites in Hull and Rochester, WJ Group has restructured its services under two new company brand names: TreatWright for high and low pressure preservative treatment and FireWright for fire retardant timber treatment.
Using market-leading chemical formulations that produce highly effective results for its customers, WJ Group’s TreatWright brand of servicing enjoys a low environmental impact and a low-hazard preservative formulation. Split into two distinct areas, TreatWright HP offers high pressure preservative timber treatments, generally specified to Use Class 3 or 4. With both green and brown finishes available, this specification of treatment is typically used for external end-use timber such as fence posts, decking and cladding. It protects against all forms of insects, wood destroying fungi and other biological decay hazards. With mould a key issue for many businesses and operators, recent successful mould control trials highlighted the enhanced service now available at WJ Group under the TreatWright brand.
For low pressure timber treatment, typically used on internal timbers such as CLS framing and joinery, WJ Group now offers TreatWright LP. Using less water in the process, allowing timber to return to its optimum moisture content more quickly, a yellow tracer dye that fades during the first couple of months ensures identification during construction.
Both TreatWright HP and TreatWright LP services are available in Hull and Rochester.
FireWright is a fire retardant treatment service, currently available in Hull. Complying with a wide range of international fire standards, it reduces ignition, impedes flame spread and slows down the burning process by lowering heat release. Increasingly, building companies are appreciating the significance of fire retardant treated timber in construction, to reduce the risk both during the build phase and for the life of the timber.
Timber treated with both FireWright and TreatWright can be subsequently coated and WJ Group offers an efficient vacuum coating line to facilitate this need.
