After a positive year secured us three new appointments, we’re anticipating an exciting 2019.

We took on a number of new challenges throughout 2018, which saw the business grow and develop over the past twelve months. This involved appointing two team members into the WJ team.

This includes the arrival of Lewis Smales, who is to be responsible for the commercial arm of the business. First focusing on the development of a new fire impregnation treatment, Lewis has now taken on a wider commercial role within the company, developing new business opportunities in all areas of the WJ Group. Lewis has extensive experience in sales, marketing, logistics and manufacturing, and will play a key role in the company.

Ruby-may Robson is the newest member of the team. With experience in B2B sales, project, and account management, she has joined the WJ Group as a Key Account Manager to care for the company’s valued customers, while seeking new and ambitious opportunities to add to our ever-growing client portfolio.

As well as welcoming two new team members to their new roles, we relocated in 2018. Our factory premises moved to a larger location as a result of increased demand. This called for a full new factory layout, in order to keep up with production flow.

Our Managing Director, Mark Eggleston, says: “Since first launching in 2007, we’ve grown quickly, and I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made so far.

“Creating three new roles within the WJ Group is another milestone for us, and it’s brilliant that we are being able to create new jobs in the Hull area. We’ve also made real progress in terms of creating an environment that people are proud to work in.

“2019 is expected to be bigger and better than ever here at WJ, and we’re looking forward to sharing our plans for expansion in the future!”
