County Mayo Boardwalk Project
Set in the stunning scenery of County Mayo, in Western Ireland this project saw DeckWright manufacture and deliver 13,000 linear metres of anti-slip decking boards for a new boardwalk connecting to Achill Island.
DeckWright on behalf of valued customer, Total Slip Solutions were tasked with producing and delivering a massive 13,000 linear metres of anti-slip decking to Ireland. Total Slip Solutions, a specialist in anti-slip technology turned to us to provide the boards as a trusted provider and one of the only providers capable of turning around such large volumes quickly and efficiently.
As well as producing the boards, DeckWright were able also offer a delivery service providing a timely delivery ensuring no delays to the project programme set out by Winter’s Plant Hire.
As part of our WJ Group all-in-one service, as well as the decking boards we also provided the timber treatment for this project. High pressure treated at our site in Hull, the decking boards were treated to UC3 (Use Class 3) for use outdoors. Our site in Hull is capable of large output and is operational 24 hours a day.
The project is one of the largest boardwalks in the whole of Ireland and now provides end-users with a high PTV (Pendulum Test Value) in an area with varied weather conditions.
DeckWright provide anti-slip decking boards from stock or we can service customer’s boards if there are certain specifications they have to meet. Our anti-slip service is a fast, efficient service capable of enduring extreme weather conditions in testing environments.
