Installation Begins Of DeckWright Boards To Increase Safety At Milton Keynes Marina

Our DeckWright boards are currently being installed at Milton Keynes Marina as part of a huge upgrade which will see a massive improvement to the safety of the marina residents.

DeckWright have supplied decking boards totalling 4250 linear metres for  Arnold Laver Milton Keynes branch as part of their supply to the contractor M Buck & Son Landscape. Naturally, marina walkways are often at an extremely high risk of surface moisture and algae due to both weather exposure and their close proximity to the water. Contractor M Buck & Son Landscape needed a long-term solution that would improve safety for residents while being easy to install and weatherproof. 

Going to their nearest Arnold Laver branch in Milton Keynes, they were quickly signposted by the expert Arnold Laver team to DeckWright’s anti-slip timber decking boards as the best solution for providing a sturdy underfoot solution. DeckWright’s raised profile allows for a high PTV and opting for two grooves in the profile allows for a non-slip experience with a 15-year warranty. 

With the job involving a large quantity of specific board sizes cut to exact lengths, the Arnold Laver team took advantage of DeckWright Bespoke, a service offered to customers that provides a more bespoke offering with optional details like a cut-to-length service, specified number of anti-slip grooves and coloured anti-slip aggregate. 

DeckWright Bespoke service provided the job with:

•	950 pieces @ 1830mm
•	1900 pieces @ 950mm
•	1090 pieces @ 650mm

Each of the boards were treated to UC4 as part of the bespoke service, making sure that the boards were given the best treatment to ensure longevity in varying weather conditions. DeckWright have our own treatment tanks allowing us to treat all of our boards to their specified use class.
