WJ Group Staff Compete In Business Fives Charity Football Tournament

Yesterday some of our staff competed in the Business Fives Hull charity football tournament. The competition is set up to raise money for each businesses' chosen charity and part of the entry fee goes to that specific cause. WJ Group were raising money for Prostate Cancer UK. 

The tournament started with group stages, with our WJ Group team pitted against Cranswick Country Foods and Dojo's team 1. With a defeat and a draw, we then went into a second group stage, which we were able to get another draw and a loss. This put us into the quarter finals against Sewell Group which we were up 4-2 but unfortunately, let that lead slip to finish 4-4. This meant a sudden death penalty shootout for to get through to the final but unfortunately, we just lost out in a 3-2 loss on penalties. 

We had a great day raising money for charity and a special thanks to Business Fives for their organisation.
